I am a certified 6 - 12 Secondary Mathematics teacher. I have been teaching for 10 years with my last four being at the college level. I have been awarded the Who's Who a number of times. I just received my master's degree in mathematics from Marquette this spring.
I am a compassionate person who will do whatever it takes to help students succeed. I always encourage my students to ask as many questions as they need to so that they have a firm understanding of the material. I love seeing the growth in the individual student. A Little Bit About Me...

Obtaining a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering has exposed me to advanced courses of Math and Science, two subjects which have always fascinated me. I have pursued and achieved excellence in these areas all through my school years and my post graduation career as an industrial engineer has only advanced my knowledge in these areas. English language has been a strong interest of mine since an early age and I have actively cultivated that interest. A Little Bit About Me...

Free and unconstrained autobiographical writing is one of the best ways to coax a student insecure about his or her writing skills into putting into words intense experiences from their own life. I tell my students to just tell me in their own words what they are trying to say. When they speak aloud, the words flow, and then I say, "There is your opening sentence right there. Quick! Write it down." At other times, I ask them to pretend that they are really someone else, an actor in a television show, for example, and I have them imagine that the character, not they themselves, are speaking. This releases the student to let go of inhibitions and let the film roll "for the character" and then they stop focusing on themselves.
