A Little Bit About Me...

I have experience working with college-aged students, but am willing to work with all ages. I have a great working knowledge of all entry level mathematics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, up through pre-calculus. I am also an avid user of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word, though Excel is my passion. I have earned top honors in each of these class levels through my Associates Degree in Accounting from Moraine Park Technical College and I am currently enrolled at Lakeland College earning my Bachelors Degree in forensic accounting. While I have not any direct teaching experience, save for helping my children with their homework, I can say that I have patience, an even-tempered demeanor, and the desire to not quit until the student understands the material being covered. My approach would be in the use of practical application of the subject matter.
I have been in accounting and finance since my graduation from UW-Whitewater in 1985. I have worked in public accounting, manufacturing and in non-profit organizations. A Little Bit About Me...

I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. I believe its the teachers responsibllity to understand how their students learn best and then help communicate the curriculum to them in a way that they will best uderstand and retain that knowledge.
I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. I taught a few Science classes including botony and a study of birds and have tutored in highschool math as well. I played volleyball, took 3 years of piano, and was a member of Chior as well. I have a Bachelors degree as well as a masters degree in Business. I have over ten years of experience training individuals in a manufacturing setting. I have trained employees on not only processes but also procedures. I have trained as large a group as 30 individuals in preparation for audits by outside agencies.
