Solve ALL your problems with a math tutor!

While completing my degree, I worked in the math department as a tutor. I often had several students with various subjects simultaneously. It was a challenge to constantly switch topics, but I apparently did it so well that I almost had a regular class that showed up every time I was on duty. Several students told me that I explained things on a level they could understand as opposed to the high-level language the professor used. I have also done private tutoring since then.
I generally work through an example while explaining. Then as the student works the problems, I instruct by asking prompting questions with decreasing frequency until the student can complete problems without any assistance.

My comments on tutoring Math : I primarily taught 6th grade and 8th grade. I have tutored third grade all the way to high school math.

I graduted from Styephen F. Austin State University in 2002 with Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. My concentration in Mathematics. I have been teaching for 11 years in the Desoto and Lancaster Districts. I have taught 6th grade for 9 nine years amd 8th grade for 2 years. In the school year 2012 -13, the Lord allowed me to have the highest Mathematics STAAR test scores in eight grade. Also, I have tutored from third graders to high schoolers in Mathematics. I have former students to call me personally about problems. I will have technology like the students "kik" accounts where the students can access me in a two hour window from Sunday thru Thursday for home work.

My little niece is in 1st grade I helped her in math and she's passing with 90's nothing below 90. We study straight for 2 hours a day, we have lots of fun. My sister pays me 5 dollars an hours but since I'm good in math I want To try and help other kids no just for the money but for the kids so they can have a better future!!!!
