For me, teaching is the most rewarding experience you could ask for. I love to teach, whether its an elementary student, high school student, or even someone in their college years. Patience is the most important thing to keep in mind when tutoring. Many people just keep talking a pushing when a student just isn't getting it. For example, many students know about the “five-paragraph essay” format, but don’t know how to organize the individual sentences. The first part of my philosophy focuses on providing students with these basic skills, as doing so prepares and makes them eager to face their assignments. It is my experience that an instructor delivers more learning when a student has an interest in the subject. "Inspire rather than require," has far greater efficacy in delivering information. I tend to make it fun, interesting and encourage student participation and feedback. Reward, a basic human desire, engenders craving for learning.
