My comments on tutoring Psychology : I scored a 5 on the AP Psychology exam when I was in high school, took several psychology courses as an undergraduate, and earned my master's degree in developmental psychology.

I have been a private tutor and academic coach since the summer of 2020. Previously, I taught creative writing to children ages 8-18 at Writopia Lab's summer sleepaway camp (2017). I interned with the reading specialist, ESL teacher, art teacher, and speech therapist at Anne Hutchinson School in 2016 and 2017. I helped students struggling with reading and writing. I like to use the hands on approach. I find out what the weaknesses are of my students and address the topics by giving a general review. I present a problem for them to work out. After a few minutes, I ask them what they think is the best way to approach the problem. If they cannot come up with one, I then guide them through the appropriate thinking pattern in order for them to solve the problem.
