I have 2 BS degrees but excelled in math classes. I absolutely love Algebra. When my stepson was going to college, he was failing his Algebra class. I told him to bring his book over and I would help him. He was content to pass the class with a "D". I told him we would shoot for an "A". He passed the class with a "B".

I am a certified high school teacher with over six years of experience teaching and tutoring in the states as well as abroad. I started college full time at the age of 16 and graduated with an associate and two bachelor degrees before my 20th birthday. I am currently completing a master degree and have maintained a 4.0 grade point average through all 6 years of college. I spent a year living in Mexico and six months in Spain and now speak Spanish fluently. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that people learn in different fashions. For example, I feel that some concepts may be better explained with tangible objects while other concepts are learned better when questioned and discussed. By exploring the different ways of learning we can find what works best for that individual and use that method as a tool for their understanding. I feel, in the past, that many of the peers I tutored not only obtained/recollected more information, but were more comfortable in a quiet, relaxed environment. Attending a private liberal arts college taught me to push myself to be the very best I could be. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Classics with an emphasis on Greek, and a minor in English. I tutored for a January term Beginning Greek class, as well as whenever students stopped in the office and needed help with Greek or Latin.
