I earned my B.A. from Tulane University magna cum laude in classical languages and philosophy. I received Tulane's oldest prize, the Judah Touro Medal, for excellence in the ancient languages and philosophy. The University of Chicago awarded me a full-tuition fellowship to its Master's program with a concentration in classical languages and philosophy. Having completed the program I am now a doctoral candidate, though on leave, in a dual PhD program (classics and philosophy) at Cornell University. I've also done coursework in Latin, Greek, philosophy, chemistry, physics, biology, psychology, mathematics, and others at Columbia University, New York University, Syracuse University, C.W. I graduated Boston College with a B.S. in Biology and a minor in liberal arts;susequentally I earned a D.D.S. Degree fron NYU. I have taught students in Math and Science courses as well as students in various levels of high school and college in SAT prep,ACT prep. My education has been extensive mostly because of the Jesuit education which instilled in me a life-long interest in helping all students to reach their innate potential.

A Little Bit About Me...

I went from the Boston Public Schools to Commonwealth School and then Wellesley College, and would have been lost, early on, without help from tutors. I majored in English and Russian and work with several communities for whom English is not their first language. I am also a freelance writer and editor and I help my children's friends with their college essays. I work as a substitute teacher with all levels and grades and teach everything but Science and Gym.
I am patient and approachable but insist on the value of completing assignments even if the student "hates" them. I am good at explaining how this will be important later, which turns around reluctant learners.
