I received my Early Childhood Degree from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, IL. I started teaching thereafter. I have taught young children for 4 1/2 years. In addition to teaching I tutored children after school for Title I Reading/Math through Springfield School District. I tutored 4 days a week Monday-Thursday for 1 hour. I have worked with kids who need to keep moving while they learn, to kids who need complete quiet. Some kids are more visual learners; others need to act the lesson out, while others do fine quietly reading. The important thing is to make it interesting so they WANT to learn.
