My previous job involved the design and review of Bridges, Culverts, and storm sewers on highway projects to insure completeness and accuracy. I also was involved in the development of drainage Designs and Hydraulic models for Highway Projects. Part of my job was to assist Drainage Designers with drainage design criteria and drainage design software issues. As a member of the Project Team, I would be a part of the discussion and decision making on required design exceptions, highway designs, and alternative selection based on cost, highway safety, maintenance preferences, ease of construction, and public involvement issues.
