I was a teaching assistant for five years when I was a graduate student at the University of Virginia. I have taught calculus I to III multiple times in my teaching career and have an excellent understanding of the subjects. I also have plenty of one-on-one experience helping students. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught mathematics at the high school and college levels spanning over 15 years. I have always been complimented on being able to explain difficult topics in plain straight-forward language. My primary profession is an actuary, bit I also tutor students in calculus and statistics during my spare time. A Little Bit About Me...

I taught Physics, Algebra and Trigonometry for a local high school. From that point, the bulk of my career was as an engineer, nuclear, mechanical and electrical. I have a number of years in Project Management. I also have four years of experience teaching at a Technical College, where taught College Math, Computer Science and Accounting.
Teaching through positive re-enforcement. Present concept, allow student to demonstrate understanding, and then use a step-by-step approach to find out where lack of understanding occurs. The instructor should always be as positive as possibe and try to make learning as enjoyable as possible.
