I place a high value on formal education and believe strongly in lifelong learning, for the betterment of the individual and, ultimately, for society. While raising three young children, I obtained my undergraduate degree in business administration. In later acquiring a law degree, I was introduced to the rigorous demands of such study and to the fascinating arena of reasoning and analytical thinking required by this discipline. As a graduate,I believe that learner-oriented teaching promotes learning that is both purposeful and enduring. I have earned two masters degrees, MBA (Master Business Administration) and MPA (Master Public Administration); which has given me a broader understanding in business. I’m a 2007 Masters graduate in Communication, concentrating in OD and interpersonal communication. As a paralegal I trained business people about legal topics and legal people about how to do their job. As an instructor for Princeton Review I worked with a world class test prep course. As a sub in Montgomery County MD I was a preferred choice of Reading and Social Studies teachers in the schools I served. I developed the session program for the 2006 Florida Government Technology Conference and observed the distance learning operations at FSU. I'm currently developing an awareness program for Middle Schools that will highlight the important connections between nature, food, and population and the choices we make each day.

While earning my degree in English, I developed teaching and communication skills through both curricular and extra-curricular experiences. As an intended Secondary Education minor, I took many classes in education, including a middle and high school practicum. I also tutored students in grammar and composition, as well as foreign students in conversational English. I strongly considered teaching as a profession after graduation, but I wanted to earn my law degree first. While studying for the LSAT, I took an online course, mastering test-taking skills in all three parts: logic “games,” analytical reasoning, and reading comprehension.
