Too many students these days give up too easily when their studies get a little challenging. I want to be able to show students that it's the challenge in their studies that make their courses more worth while and memorable. My teaching style is to lead the student into an understanding of the material through discussion, hands-on projects, practice and mastery. It is important to master the previous material before moving on to the new. It is also important to relate new topics to what the student already knows. This helps the student to not only understand it better but also to remember it better and use it correctly. I am patient and creative in finding ways to present ideas in ways that will connect with real life. I believe that all children can learn, given the right methods and the willingness to learn.
