I currently work in a PreK-12 School setting as a Certified School Library Media Specialist. I am responsible for teaching Prek-6th grade library/research lessons. When I am not teaching I am monitoring 7-12 students who are utilizing the library media cnter. I manage two library spaces, am the primary purchaser for books, technologies, and databases, and work closely with the administration team to meet and exceed curricular goals. I really enjoy engaging the student in discussion of the topic and helping them experience the events in History rather than just remembering dates and locations. I am currently pursuing a degree in secondary education with a specialization in American History. I have a passion for the subject and for helping students succeed.
