A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style with students of all ages is to facilitate their learning as opposed to simply feeding them what I feel is the best response. Students learning is maximized when they can take ownership of and pride in their work. I am very patient. Recognizing that all students learn differently, I seek to ascertain their learning styles and then adjust my tutoring style to that learning style.
I taught and tutored ESL two years before entering law school. I hae taught college classes as an adjunct and later FT professor at Penn College for 25 years. I received my BSE with a specialization in English from Millersville University in December of 2009. Shortly after, I became an extended day substitute at Boyertown High School. During this time, I assumed the role of the teacher, taking on all of her responsibilities. When she returned five weeks later, I became a daily substitute filling in where I was needed.
