A Little Bit About Me...

As an honor's student who tutored other student athletes I was driven to continue on and receive a Graduate level education. Although English came very easy to me so did Computers and programming so I chose to receive my Bachelor in Business Administration and a Master in Management Information Systems. My Master's Degree has given me the opportunity to teach at the college level, assist Fortune 500 Companies with the selection of Enterprise Solutions and training those employees on these solutions.
I love teaching and working with both adults and children. I believe teaching is about learning instead of the outcome. I practice "learning by doing" where they create their own style and way of accomplishing the task based on age appropriate methods and ways that work for them. It is not about the final product, but rather how they get to the proposed finish. Kids will go as far as you push them and typically exceed ones expectations.
I began as an education major at the University of Central Oklahoma before switching to Oklahoma Baptist University. I have worked with children in a professional setting since 2004 in church, non profit, daycare, early childhood, and preschool settings. I value education and find it to be a crucial and vital part of child development. I have tutored autistic students, as well as taught preschool for 14 months both at Saint Dunstans Preschool and Holland Hall College Preparatory School.
