I believe that a big part of teaching effectively involves being patient. Learning should be fulfilling and fun, rather than overbearing and stressful. I am currently attending SNHU Online for my Sports Management Degree. I have experience in business as well, as I started out at Devry University Online for a Business Management Degree. I made the switch to Sports Management, but not before I received over a full academic year of experience and learning in BMA. I have been working with numbers my entire working life thus far, as well as in school. I have been using a computer and keyboard daily for over 15 years for school, work and various activities. I type over 90 words a minute with a high level of accuracy and polished grammar.

I began tutoring people when I was in the eigth grade. I decided I wanted to help out at the school across the street from my middle school in Colorado. I enrolled in a class that allowed us to go and assist the teachers and help the students. I fell in love with kids then for sure. I already knew I liked them because I started babysitting when I was 11 and couldn't stop! Then in ninth grade, a neighbor failed kindergarten and asked if I would starting coming over several days a week to help him understand what was being taught. I think it takes a lot for one teacher to reach all of types of students who are all at different levels of interest in the subject being taught as well as at different levels of understanding. However, I feel it is the teacher's responsibility to give them all equal opportunity to learn. It is not just about grades and assignments, that is just the means to an end, but it is about learning. In order for the students to learn, the teacher needs to be passionate about the students as well as the subject that is being taught. That will instill in the students a desire to learn and understand. In having a science background, I have not only learned laboratory skills and reasoning skills, but I have learned how to increase efficiency, communicate in a clear manner, and write in a way that is direct and clear. I enjoy learning, and I instill that passion into my students as best I can.
