Due to the student enrollment we actually had 1 certified teacher with 2 Teaching Assistants and one Teacher Aide. For the last 8 yrs while employed within the education field, I worked in this position.I was considered the teacher for 6-12 of the special needs students with both behavior and learning Disabilities. Writing lesson plans, grading and evaluating my students academics and ensuring they met NYS Education requirements for graduation with 5 of them getting a high school diploma the first year I taught as the teacher.

In addition, while at Cornell University I earned a Minor in Communications focusing on both Written and Oral Communication. My education at NYU and my Bachelor of Science degree, gave me a solid foundation because I had the knowledge and confidence upon which to build my teaching career. The classes and student teaching experience exposed me to a wide range of teaching styles and demographics. After having my own family, my empathy and understanding of children increased in a positive way.
