My name is Quyen and I'm still a college student. I enjoy helping people with homework and tutoring. My best area is in Math but I am decent in other subjects too. Even though I am not a certified teacher nor having any experience with tutoring; however, I've had taken math all through out my education career-up to Calculus 2.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy learning and try to pass along some of my enthusiasm to my students. I will work with the student to find the best methods for us to approach the material so he or she will have the greatest success. I believe that creating a structure assists in the learning process, but the structure may be different for different people. This is not to say that I impose a rigid schedule or formula to the tutoring sessions, but I do work to create of flow for the the study session which will consistently show the student his or her progress each time.

My background includes an undergraduate degree in History and International Studies as well as a Master's degree in Education. With this background, I have taught US History, World History, and Government on all levels from college prep to AP. In addition, I have been involved in an after school program for low achievers designed to improve classroom performance and prevent dropouts. A Little Bit About Me...

My academic experience in both Chemical Engineering (BS) and Biomedical Engineering (MS) have given me strong background in math and sciences. As an undergraduate, I was fortunate to be part of a Chemical Engineering mentor program where I tutored underclassmen in the fundamentals of engineering. During my graduate stay, I was TA for undergrads and lead recitation sessions to help students prepare for subject matter.
