I have had approximately one year of combined teaching experience. I have taught junior high and high school age kids. I have done student teaching as well as taught my own art class. I have also taught several years of adult religious classes.
I believe that all kids have the potential to be incredible learners. I believe that in order to tap into that children and adults need to find their self-confidence. I have found through my teaching that there is a motto that works very well in most situations. "Teach in such a way that it is impossible to not understand" basically if one can teach a complex subject in such a way that even a child can understand it then you are successful as a teacher. But with physics that is not always possible. It is all about the person learning not for me to hear myself talk and get through a lesson. All that matters in the end is what the student learned coming out of the the instruction.
I spent 2 years in mexico teaching in spanish. During some of that time i was the teacher for english classes. I graduate this december with my bachelors in physics, experience of working with classmates and helping other students as they helped me gave me years of experience working as a team on homework assignments.

I understand that every kid is unique and learns in different ways. I believe that in order to be a successful tutor one must possess more than just an adequate understanding of the subject matter. One must also be able to understand the student's situation, have superb communications skills, and a great sense of humor. This rigorous program has taught me the importance of fulfilling one's potential, the vitality of good study habits, as well as giving me an understanding of children and adolescents.
