A Little Bit About Me...

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting. I have very strong math skills, especially in Algebra, which is what my daughter is learning now. I excelled in grammar, art, health, and science as well. I was a teacher at a private school for a year after college before I started a family and began home schooling. My daughter is now in the 8th grade and tests at the college level in reading and high school levels at most other subjects.
I have a daughter in the 8th grade and a son in the 6th. I have home schooled them the past 9 years. They have very different learning styles which has helped me to learn to teach in different ways to accommodate their needs. I am patient and easy going and I love helping kids.

I enjoy tutoring a great deal because you can help the students gain confidence in themselves to do better with hard work and discpline. Everyone learns different and I try to find the best way to incorpate all styles of learning into my tutoring, so everyone is learning. A Little Bit About Me...

I worked as the artistic program director of a community based non-profit agency for children ages 3-18. I taught theater and tutored core curriculam to children in the after school program. I also created and conducted literacy and arts training for the resident Americorps Program. I was the director and artist for Wolf Trap Early Arts Learning, which is a program developed to teach early childhood instructors how to use the arts as a vehicle to teach core curriculam. I learned head start curriculam, and the Connecticut Framework in order to design relevant training.
