I have taught elementary students for 27 years. I have taught 2nd-4th grades. I have done graduate work in reading and have obtained a reading minor. I have experience teaching students with many different reading processing difficulties. Both in my classroom and in my own tutoring business. I have helped many students become better reader. Every student is unique and has different ways of doing things. In a swimming pool, you can see physical improvements in technique which ultimately improves performance. In teaching, it is different. It is sometimes very difficult to see the "light bulb" go on when a student finally grasps a new concept. I take different approaches in different situation to help students achieve results.
