I believe that a teacher should be willing to do whatever is necessary for the student to understand the concept(s) being discussed. Students all learn different things in different ways. I have always valued the importance of a quality education and have encouraged friends with no college ambition to start working on their degrees. I am not, however, an elitist. I think every endeavor is a learning experience, but there are basic skills that are necessary to be successful, such as grammar, spelling, and professionalism. My experience in formal teaching is mostly in college-level public speaking and coaching Little League, but I am a proficient and tedious writer. I am also familiar with APA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, and BlueBook formatting styles.
