Chemistry is one of my top subjects! This is a difficult subject for many students, especially if they are not strong in math. I have always enjoyed helping people to understand these beginning concepts in a way that they can remember them and use them as they progress to other classes! M.S. in Chemistry plus 3 years Junior College teaching experience and 15 years of tutoring experience.

I believe I have a talent to find the "disconnect" in where a student is missing the concept and help them to understand it through a variety of examples and analogies. I like to work with students face-to-face, but online is great, too! With online tutoring, nobody has to drive and the appointment times and session lengths can be a lot more flexible. It's easy to do and doesn't require any special hardware or software!
I obtained my Master's Degree with the intent to teach. I did teach for 3 years at a small Junior College, then moved into industry. My teaching style is really one of encouragement, love, belief, knowledge, honesty and respect. I believe that children need to know that you are truely concerned for them before they really want to know how much knowledge you can dispense to them. As an elementary student in the 4th grade I had a reading deficiency and was reading on a 1st grade level. It my parents and tutors that gave the encouragement to continue trying and the self-esteem to know that I could do it. While I perfectly respect all of these new theories and methods of both teaching and learning, it must not be forgotten that each student is unique in their style and commitment.
