My teaching style is to discover what each student needs to learn in order to be successful. I teach in a way that is most effective with that student. I have found that students can make rapid progress when they have an opportunity to fill in the gaps of their skills and knowledge. Over the years, I have learned many strategies to help students acquire the skills they need. I help students to build on their strengths as they overcome their academic weaknesses. I have also learned that students learn more quickly when the lesson is interesting to them, so I choose reading material for a lesson with that in mind. I find that students truly enjoy their lessons, because they gain confidence and realize that they are able to be successful.

A Little Bit About Me...

I worked as Library Assistant in the University where I earned my Accounting Degree. At first it was just a voluntary when some students needed a help especially mathematics subjects. As time went on, I became passionate about it and start coaching my friend's kids, helping them with their homework. I love doing it, it made me feel I am alive. It was on my Second year in college where I started my volunteer in Grade School and High School to conduct and arrange some extra hour of tutorial. Since High School upto my college years, a total of more than 4 years I have tutored students in Filipino, English, Arts, Sciences and Especially Mathematics without asking parents to pay me anything.

I have been working with children since I graduated from high school. I was a teachers assistant for the hearing impaired for 4 years and did some tutoring on the side for both deaf and hearing children. I attended college and received my bachelors degree in Psychology and then got a job as a teacher on an emergency credential and realized I loved teaching. When I graduated from college, I taught bilingual elementary kindergarten for 2 years on an emergency credential. I moved to Missouri in 1995 and since 1997 I have been a daycare director till recently. I enjoy seeing the pride and joy in each child when they learn something new. It's a great accomplishment to be a part of that feeling and success.
