Teaching is a wonderful experience! My teaching style is laid-back, I'd say. I like having conversations in order to determine how someone learns. I think people learn best when discussing the material and really think it out before they start creating something. Guiding a student down the path of their own learning style is important because they will need those skills in the future when they go off to college or start a career on their own. I will provide students with the tools they need to succeed today and in the future!
I attended the University of North Dakota for 4 years and in that time received a BA in Anthropology which has provided me the experience and knowledge of helping people in holistic ways. I love teaching, and get along great with student, parents, and other teachers. I am constantly searching for ways to make learning easier and a better fit for the student. That is why I feel it is important to be knowledgable on computer technology and having the ability to know where to find what is needed. I am in contact with other teachers of various subjects as well in order to gain their suggestions and input to problem areas. I also believe in trying to keep learning an upbeat and engaging process. The more fun a student has, the better they learn and the more they will retain, as well as recalling what they have learned.
