A Little Bit About Me...

I have been a substitute teacher in all grade levels in the Alexandria (VA) City Public Schools District for several years, and within that I have a great deal of experience with ELL and Special Ed students. I am currently a long-term sub for ELL students at the Juvenile Detention Center school, which has added value in connecting to challenged and struggling youngsters. I enjoy teaching individuals of all ages and cultures. I adopt a hands on approach to learning and have extreme patience for slower learners. My main goal during teaching is to help one have a better understanding of the subject by relating to the material.
