After graduating college I taught elementary K-8th grade in NYC. I taught for one year and decided to live Paris, France teaching English. I lived in Paris, France for 1.5 years then moved to Rome, Italy, again teaching English. My experiences were wonderful as I met people who really enjoyed learning English and needed it for work. After 6 months I returned to the states and taught at a Junior High School on the Lower eastside of NYC. I left teaching after 10 years to market computers. My skills as an educator served me well and I did extremely well. After approximately 8 years I decided I wanted to go back to teaching, and have been teaching the use of computers. As a University of Connecticut graduate, I was very driven by my passion for the sciences. I earned a BS in pathobiology with a minor in molecular and cell biology. I was a well rounded student which has afforded me skills in math, psychology, and English. I have worked as a rowing coach for many years and have the patience and drive to help you reach academic goals. Teaching comes second nature to me. I believe that all students can learn, but each person requires a different style of instruction in order to fully understand the subject. I provide multiple kinds of instruction while keeping a patient and easy going mentality. Teaching is not for everyone, but I knew it was for me when I started student teaching and felt the adrenaline rush of 25 eyes staring up at me for guidance. I feel the need to spread as much knowledge as possible to the up and coming generations.I always feel rewarded when the day ends because I was able to help students get a better grasp on life. I also believe that the student is the teacher as well. Through my experiance, a student can teach an instructor just as much as the instructor can teach them.
