A Little Bit About Me...

At my Ivy League college, we were taught not just facts, but how to learn. This invaluable skill has stood me well and put me in an excellent position to teach. I have continued to love to learn and retained my strengths in both critical reading and in math. I recently took the SAT to demonstrate my qualification for tutoring and scored in the 98th percentile. I have always had a knack for taking a complicated topic and being able to explain it simply and clearly. I left full time teaching 3 years ago. I was the whole math dept. I taught 6,7,8,9th grade math in a private school. I did not realize how much I would miss it. I sometimes day dream about how I would teach a certain topic a different way. I have always thought that teaching is magical. I have earned my Bachelors of Science in Computer Science. I love computers and programming as well as web design. I was even a Teacher Assistant for a Data Structures class at my university (CSI 310) in which i helped students with homework and programming assignments. In this role i helped students learn concepts such as linked lists, tree structures, recursive thinking as well as other types of data structures. I have also done a lot of math in my pursuit of my computer science degree and will more then gladly help out with math related questions as well.
