French is one of my top subjects! I've spent a total of 3 months abroad in France, and I spent time studying French in Brussels, Belgium in the Fall of 2013.

I have completed 4 years of the French language at Charleroi High School, and I have also studied abroad in Brussels, Belgium. I will begin my studies in the French language at the University of Pittsburgh in the Fall of 2014. I have spent 3+ months abroad in France/Belgium, and I have acquired fluency in the French language and I have also obtained a near native accent. Also, I have tutored many of my contemporaries in French and other subjects as well. I have been recognized by my high school French teacher for my accomplishments and advancements in the language over the years.

French is one of my top subjects! I am a fluent speaker of French being married to a French native and having 12 yrs experience as a high school French teacher.

I have 11 yrs experience teaching in a California high school setting and 5 years experience as a tutor for ESL and for French at OSU, 3 years experience teaching English in France and lived in France for 7 years. I also have taken many students to France on EF Tour trips. I have advised French clubs for 12 years.
I use a variety of methods, some TPR, traditional, CLT, Natural Approach, some immersion, audio - lingual. I am always looking for fun ways to teach and I feel that students learn so much easier when their teacher is as enthused as they are about learning the language.

A Little Bit About Me...

As a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University in General Science Physics, I have completed extensive coursework in the areas of math, science, and engineering. I am looking to obatin an accelerated teaching certificate and I believe this would be a good start for me. I have completed coursework in upper level biology and physics as well as general chemistry. I have completed math through calculus II. I have always been a help to my family members in their math and science coursework. My liberal arts education makes me a well rounded canidate as I have experience from courses in all areas.
