I have worked in two Arkansas public schools in the area of Special Education for the last 20 years. For over half of my career I have been employed as a special education designee/ consultant. I have also completed the Barton Reading and Spelling System training and work with several students. I am in love with how fast this system works to close gaps. I currently am employed as a special education designee where I tutor a few students in Barton, teach and supervise the special education teachers and work on due process compliance. I have three children of my own with sensory, attention, hyperactivity and learning problems. I understand how hard it is on both the children and the parents when there is no clear path to success.

Math and Science Tutor

I'm currently finishing my junior year as a chemistry major at The University of Arkansas at Little Rock. My minor is biology. Chemistry is a demanding field that requires knowledge in science as well as mathematics. My degree requires several math classes along witn chemistry classes. Before I became a chemistry major I was a biology major. I've had courses in microbiology, zoology, and anatomy & physiology. I've worked as a teachers aide at my college and I've also tutored at my college. I've obtained a 3.7/4.0 GPA in my studies. Tutoring comes easy to me because I'm such a people's person. I get along great with kids especially. I'm a very vibrant and confident person which also helps my tutoring abilities. My interest in education comes from my personal experience. I started off as a Probation Officer after I finished College with a B.S. in Criminal Justice. I used to Sub Teach to break the monotony of dealing with crime and found teaching to be more rewarding for me. However, after giving Teaching some serious thought I then returned to School and completed my Teaching Credential Program Through Patten University in Oakland Ca. in Elementry Education.
