I earned a bachelor of science degree in chemistry with a minor in math. I worked for US Dept. of Agriculture as a methods development chemist which required a knowledge of chemistry, physics, math and statistics as well as high level computer skills. I have taught classes for over 15 years at Athens Area Technical College, University of Georgia Continuint Education Program and as owner and lead trainer for Athens Computer Training, Inc.
I have taught classes for students ranging from high school to adult with course material from the very basic to highly advnced concepts. A Little Bit About Me...

I think it is best to help a student understand concepts and establish steps to attack a problem. I do not simply give them the answers. I encourage them to think for themselves and give them hints where needed. I think it is important for them to have some easy work to succeed with and build confidence. Then we can move on to the harder stuff with confidence that they can figure it out. I truely care about my students and want them all to succeed.
As a retired broadcast engineer who loves math, I chose to begin a new career in education, tutoring math. As a student I competed in math contests.
