Former substitute teacher in K-12 for five years. Former head on Lucas County Computer center for five years. Current tutor and advocate for special needs students. Taught my son with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and other disabilities when the school system did not give him any chance of success. through my teaching career I have had numerous workshops and professional Development in all areas in education. I have been able to combine different teaching strategies to fit the needs of my students. In Arizona I taught Fourth Grade where 80% of my studens were English Language Learners of Hispanic decent. This was a real leaning experience. I took the Dibels training which really helped my teaching techniques. Using Orton-Guillingham guidelines with the hundreds of hours of teacher training allowed my students to excel. I believe my varied experiences and a love for my profession enables me to be a Master Teacher.
