I love working with younger people who have a passion for writing. From a young age I enjoyed writing and because I have invested time in learning about and working on my writing, it makes me happy to see a younger generation love it as much as I do. I hope to inspire those who write to keep with it and support them in their endeavors. I wouldn't have enrolled in writing programs had it not been for the teachers and professors who supported and encouraged me. Writing has been my way of expressing myself and I would love to bring that out in others.
As a graduate of a writing and publishing Masters program at DePaul, I learned and practiced the art of writing in many genres including Non-Fiction, Poetry, Travel Writing, and others. I graduated from Saginaw Valley State University with a degree in Secondary Education and am certified in the State of Michigan to teach 6-12th grade English and math. Along with completing student teaching, I have substitute taught in various districts as well as tutored homeschool students. I volunteer at my church as a Sunday School teacher, and during college I participated as a conversation partner in the English as a Second Language program.
