My tutoring began in when I was employed with Nazareth Colleges' Partners for Learning program. This program worked with several schools in the Rochester, NY area to provide in school and after school tutoring and teaching assistance to children grades 6-12. I specialized at one school, Hope Hall in Gates, NY, where I worked with students who had a variety of learning challenges. I assisted students with subjects such as: English, Spanish, French, math, language arts, science and social studies. I worked with Partners for Learning for two years from 2005-2006 while I was finishing my undergraduate degree. I have also been employed as a substitute teacher in my hometown of Rochester, NY.

I feel that my style of teaching is student centered. I am a facilitator to the learning process. Any student who chooses to learn can and will, however some students need more motivation than others. Thus, I take the time to hear about and understand what my students know and more importantly do not know and want or need to know. I have worked in the Accounting/Financial Services field in various roles, beginning in high school. I have worked for local government, financial institutions, and large corporations. In addition, I have earned a BS in Accounting. At the present, I am preparing for the CPA exam.
I believe that every student has the capacity to reach their goals. Each student works and learns at a different pace. Working as a tutor has given me the opportunity to demonstrate great leadership among my peers and students while creating a positive environment. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught 4 upper division business courses at the University of Arizona: Management and Organizational Behavior, strategy (Eller capstone course Management Policies), business environments and employment law (The Legal, Political and Social Environments of Business), and statistics (Statistical Inferences in Management). I left a Ph.D. program in Organizational Behavior (think Management)with a MS to care for family. I have been a substitute teacher for K-8th grade. I have followed a successful 12+ year career in Human Resource Management and now own my own HR Consulting firm.

A Little Bit About Me...

I attended Northern Arizona University, whereupon I fell in love with sociology. I have a firm grasp of basic and advanced sociological concepts, specializing in historical analysis and research methods. After school, I spent my time working temporary jobs, and found one that I thoroughly enjoyed. At Wyko I aquired a set of technical skills that allowed me to work on some of the most advanced instruments of the day.
