Algebra I is one of my top subjects! Algebra is perhaps the most versatile and essential math class that a student can learn. It is by far the most important in moving forward whether in the real word or post secondary education.

I have always approached a teaching lesson as a learning opportunity. Learning is a fundamental skill. If you don't have your basic fundamentals, your student will have difficulty advancing. So, I always start with basic fundamentals such as; note taking, study skills, and comprehension! All sciences demand the ability to link concepts together. Ex. cells make up tissues, tissues make up organs, organs make up organ systems,etc.....! By understanding the make-up of cellular structures and relating that to tissue functions the students can fully understand a subject. This proves true with all subjects. A Little Bit About Me...

Have never tutored anyone before aside from helping my younger sister with her homework. I completed high school with a 3.5 GPA and am currently preparing to start my 2nd year of community college. Math has always been my best subject. In 11th grade I was enrolled in Algebra II honors, I then took a pre-college algebra course in 12th grade, took a similar course my first semester of college, and then took college algebra. I learned to read when I was 3 or 4 which was earlier than most people I was around. I finished in 16th place in my 5th grade spelling bee finals. Would have gone farther but I mistook course for coarse.
I like to be fun. I don't want to be the teacher/tutor that nobody likes. I want kids to be excited to see me every day. I want to be the guy that 20 years from now, they look back on their lives and remember me and what I was able to do for them.

I am capable of both structured and informal teaching styles depending upon the situation. I find that when smaller increments of course instruction is followed up with the student demonstrating proficiency and comprehension the overall learning experience is maximized.
