While attaining my genetics degree at Ohio State, I worked at the OSU Chimpanzee Center. After graduating, I started working for the Department of Agriculture in the Weights and Measures division. It was my job to try to "trick" the scales before they could become available for commercial use. I moved back home to Coshocton when I got married. I quickly found a job teaching adults within our county's GED program. I easily became the math and science "guru" with my background and began getting my Masters in Education from Muskingum University. Now I train other adult education directors around the state how to improve their own adult education programs. I have spent the past three years focusing on the instruction of math and language.

Without a doubt I am an excellent candidate for this position based on my teaching style, my life experience, my education, my enthusiasm and my love for science and life-long learning. Not only do I have the advantage of being raised in central Ohio, I have the added benefit of being educated across these United States and I bring these experiences into the classroom in order to authenticate my lesson plans.
