I have been teaching for over twenty years, primarily Middle School Language Arts. I have also taught Head Start, fourth grade, third through eighth grade science, and kindergarten through eighth grade music. I earned my Master’s degree in Classroom Education with an emphasis in MS Language Arts. In the past, I have made significant impacts on children as well as adults. For example I taught a group of Buddhist monks who had never learnt English previously, and who were rejected by other teachers. I began with teaching the monks the alphabet. By the end of the year, these monks exceeded the expectations set out for them. Another example is when two parents who never spoke English, wanted me to tutor their daughter in English. I went above and beyond my call and taught the child not only English grammar but introduced the child to English Literature. Years later, when I met the mother of the child, she profusely thanked me for teaching her daughter English Literature. The child had done very well, and had studied English Literature at school, and had gone on to attaining a B.A in English Literature.
