A Little Bit About Me...

I am a pre-medical student at UAA who has a BA in Music Education. I spent a year teaching in Metlakatla, AK before moving up to Anchorage to continue my education in science and math. I am currently taking Biology, Chemistry and Calculus and will be continuing on with Physics and advanced level Chemistry classes. I have tutored Algebra while in college as a music education major. I care very much about helping students succeed and be able to move on to a higher level of learning. I have been in advanced level Math classes all through high school, and was able to start taking calculus this year and currently have an A average. I prefer to teach in such a way that the concept of the students about a particular topic is 100% cleared. Because in the subject like Biology it is important to clear the concept , specially for those students who tend to join the med school. Mostly i used to have over head projector to deliver the lecture but sometimes, as in case of group tutoring , only diagrams are important.
I got BSc in Biology and Chemistry and MSs in Biology in 1987 and started my career as Teacher in May 1989 at College level. I taught the subject continously for about 19 years in that college. AS a Biology teacher i always enjoyed with my teach and i learnt a lot during this period of time. Beside this , i have been involed in tutoring the same subjet and preparing the students for entering into the medical school(MCAT).
