I have always wanted to be a teacher and love working with children of all ages. My areas of study were middle school science and social studies but I believe in my academic ability to help children across many aspects of learning. I really enjoy being around kids and helping them learn new things. When you teach a kid something and they finally get it, the sight of their face lighting up is priceless. I believe that students of all ages respond to humor, honesty, and respect. Subjects in which that students have difficulty can be made accessible to them by demonstrating to them the humor in learning something hard and the fun of conquering the subject. My teaching style is a combination of different methodologies based on the needs of the person whom I am teaching. No one style will fit all persons but the main methods that I use are discussion (Q&A) and hands-on. I like to use visuals such as pictures, slides, and other presentation methods to make the history and or subject more interactive and mentally stimulating as well as memorable.
