Everyone's teaching style is an accumulation of the teachers they have met. My favorite teachers were tough, they pushed me to do my best, and encouraged me to draft, edit, and to have high expectations for myself. Their goals were realistic, and relevant. As teacher, I want to give each student an advantage, over other students. I believe that writing and reading may be the most important thing a child can learn, but more importantly love and continue to do throughout their life. I am patient, flexible, and motivated. I strive to make the difference. My teaching experience began in high school, when I would review and edit my classmates essays. On several occasions, I also went through essays line by line. In addition, I taught swim lessons to preschool aged children, and helped coach crew to high school aged students.
