Worked for Ross Stores in Gainesville area for close to three years dealt with customers and staff as the Store Manager. My priorities were training, hiring, and increasing sales. Ultimately, responsbile for entire store and entire staff. Worked for Linens-n-Things in Gainesville as a Merchandise Manager. Performed many different tasks however main duties were to train new employees, hard lines, and backroom. Save-a-Lot Grocery gave me the opportunity as Store Manager to improve sales, cleanliness, and morale. I acheived all these results in a short time because of positive motivational techniques. A Little Bit About Me...

As a teacher trainer for the past 7 years, I have taught teachers research based instructional strategies to help struggling learners as well as applied these concepts in my own classroom. Although I primarily caught art during my 17 year career, I also was interested in ways to help students learn reading skills. I was a volunteer tutor in the 1997-98 school year for a program called Reading Rescue that used research based strategies to help below grade level readers, taught remedial summer school program one summer, and have many in service hours of CRISS training.
I believe all students can learn but some need explicit strategies to be shown to them. I love helping people learn. I like to find a way that helps them remember things, which sometimes mean making a game out of studing. Studying has to be funin order for someone to get anything out of it.
I have recently earned my BA degree from the University of Florida in the field of Health Science. I have future plans to go to graduate school to become a Physicians Assistant, which will take me 2 years to complete once I get accepted. I am in the process of finishing my application now.
