Simple Steps. The main key to successful learning.

To be honest I do not have any professional experience tutoring. However, throughout my entire educational career I have always been able to grasp material before my classmates and hence help them grasp the material themselves. Speaking is one of my top subjects! I spent 11 years on radio. I've been in ministry for 30 years. I've also been a voice over artist and teacher.

My teaching style is comfortable. I want to be comfortable and I want my students. If everyone is comfortable and not tensed up there's the possibility for a lot more learning. I try to let students learn at their pace. And in the case of the Microsoft Office products I prefer students use their own data as to learn the product and how it relates to them.
I've taught in the corporate environment. I've taught in the college environment. And I've been a personal computer consultant. I've taught "Intro to Computers" online. When I teach on any level and in any environment the focus is on how the student. Therefore, the cornerstone of all of my teaching experiences is that I speak in English rather than in computerese.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching adults as well as high school students. I do not have much training teaching below junior high; however, I am confident that I could successfully teach math or language. Although, I don't mind the traditional classroom setting, I am quite used to instructing on a one-to-one basis. Our GED programs are completely individualized for learners to move at their own pace, and I encourage this type of teaching style when manageable. Many of the students/adults that I have worked with have a learning disability of some sort, but I feel that I learn from each student just as much as they are learning from me. I enjoy teaching and couldn't see myself doing much else.
