My comments on tutoring Guitar : Playing guitar over 12 years

My teaching style is relaxed, fun, but effective. I use different methods to teach such as reading articles, listening to music, watching movies, etc. learning a foreign language requires immersion into the culture and using many resources.
I have been living and playing professional football for two years in the Paris region. I coach/play with an entirely French team/league so French fluency is a must in order to communicate effectively with my teams. I've coached Les Cougars de St Ouen l'Aumone to a championship as their offensive coordinator. I also am the quarterback, offensive coordinator, and team captain for the cougars elite team. I have extensive experience tutoring my teammates and players in English. I am now looking to work as an English professor in Paris.

I have a very unique teaching style in that I like to incorporate many different presentation methods and I am a firm believer of teaching to multiple intelligences. No two students learn the same way and if the student is not learning the teacher is just as responsible as the student. This being said I have used many different teaching methods from having the students performing, and singing to setting up shops to buy and sell products. As a young man I had several problems with math. It turns out that I was unable to visualize what the equations meant in abstract algebra and calculus. Eventually I was able to relate these concepts to subjects that I found interesting such as music and archaeology. Therefore creating more interest in the subjects that I gravitated to naturally. I believe that I could explain concepts to others in a way that suits their interests.
