Essentially my teaching style is goal oriented. I motivate students to build skills that are not only applicable short-term, but well into the future as well. These concepts are reinforced by applying skills to realistic situations and problem solving. In this way, my students will be able to leverage skills that they have acquired in myriad areas of interest to ensure their success.
While holding certification in three varied subjects, I feel that my strengths lie in teaching transferability of acquired skills. I use these methods with a dynamic demeanor and with positive re-inforcement remarks on their papers.I learned Portfolio method at the Junior College and have significant results with it. For me, there is no greater passion than to impart to students the desire to want to learn; particularly, when they do the research.
