In addition to my education, I have previous experience tutoring students in elementary school up to college students. I am skilled in working with kids with ADHD as well as other behavioral disorders, such as DBD and ODD. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught Spanish and English in the high school setting since 1996. I have also taught ESL/ ESOL at homes, in schools, and for private organizations during that time and have had students from ages 6 - 66 from many different countries and at a variety of knowledge levels. I have taught Spanish at the middle school level as well.

Students learn better when they see the relevance of the material they are studying to their own lives. In many subject areas this relevance is not obvious, and students may tune out as a result. I always use concrete examples that students can relate to when explaining a concept. For example, when discussing paternalism with college students I will often cite government regulation of tobacco and alcohol use to illustrate how the concept translates into laws that directly affect them. I notice that many high school instructors do not teach the basics of science. I believe it is important to cover the basics of the periodic table and elements for one to enjoy Chemistry. I try to make learning fun. I make note cards and sheets for my students. I am very compassionate and easy to talk to.
Throughout my college career, I have worked in many different fields. The field that has given me the most satisfaction is tutoring.
