School is my passion and my goal is to help students reach their maximum potential. It has been my experience that students often dislike subjects in which they do not excel. It is my goal to help students overcome their learning challenges and find the same passion I do in education. I am patient, considerate, and have a sense of humor. I have found great success in performing an interactive activity which determines that method a student learns best (auditory, visual, etc) before starting to tutor. A Little Bit About Me...

In college, I tutored grammar school, high school and college students in various math and science courses. Subjects included algebra, calculus, chemistry, and physics. In graduate school, I trained graduate, medical and high school students in various lab techniques and concepts. I also played a large role in managing their laboratory projects. It was at this point that I decided I wanted to become a teacher. After graduating, I became a substitute teacher and also co-instructed an online course for my undergraduate college. In the future, I plan on becoming a college professor. However, while I gather the experience I need to pursue that career goal, I would very much like to expand my experience in the local area.

A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from high school as number eleven in rank out of 248. I often assisted other students in both high school and college. Later, as a homeschooling mother of four, I taught all of my children all subjects through the eighth grade level. I just returned from the island of Saipan, where I taught high school English in a private school, and seventh grade English in a public school. I presently am a certified substitute teacher in the Cumberland County, PA, public school system, where I teach almost all grade levels and subjects. I far prefer private tutoring over formal teaching, as I believe my abilities are put to their greatest use in that setting. I absolutely love working with students one-on-one. It's what I do best.
