I take pride in discerning each student's learning style and then teaching them in the most effective manner. I am a firm believer that all people are teachable, and that no real method is ultimately the best, but that the approach should be tailored to what the student is good at.
I have three degrees, Masters in Biochemistry, B.A. in Biology, and an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Currently, I am involved in marketing for a law firm, and am responsible for writing Excel programs for customer tracking, website SEO, and generally raising the profile of the business, and analysis. I have been responsible for training many people, and am particulary good at training young people for the SAT. I will begin each lesson with an agenda and an intended learning goal. Instruction of the lesson will be delivered through a variety of media including text, videos, animations, etc. that would enhance the student’s learning. The student will then be given many opportunities to refine their understanding of the lesson through independent research during which I will provide insight and motivation wherever possible. As an undergraduate at Penn State, I became interested in education through positive experiences with my own teachers. At this time, I was an active high school volleyball coach, an environmental science teaching assistant, and an environmental science camp counselor.
