Algebra II is one of my top subjects! I have been teaching for 9 nine years.I have been teaching Algebra 2 for the past 7 years. I have taught GT Algebra 2, Pre-AP Algebra 2, and Regular Algebra 2. Have been teaching Algebra 2 Pre-AP at Churchill High School for the past 3 years.

I have been teaching since 2004. I have taught in an inner city school ( four years) and I am currently teaching at Churchill High School (fifth year). I understand the struggle students have with mathematics. I understand the frustration when a topic is explained but understanding is not achieved. My goal in tutoring is not to make money, though I charge a fee, but I desire to provide help to students that have difficulty in math. I want to give students the tools necessary to be successful in Algebra, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus. I remember my struggles in math when I was in high school and I realize the importance of clarity of instruction. As a teacher my number one goal is that my students understand the material being taught to the point they can explain it to someone else.

My comments on tutoring Algebra II : Very Strong

My favorite teaching style is the classical Black Board style that may involve Power Point presentations. I am very patient with my students and like to believe that I have the capability to make every student learn.
I did an Undergraduate in Science with an honors in Chemistry, followed by an M.Sc. in Biochemistry and a PhD in Biochemistry. I was actively involved in Cancer Research in the Department of Biochemistry and have authored over 40 publications. Although I have expertise in Chemistry and Biochemistry, I have a passion for Math that includes Algebra 1 &2 , Pre-calculus, and Geometry.

My comments on tutoring Algebra II : My math students exceed their class requirements.

I am the founder and president of The Learning Curve of San Antonio, a tutoring service which specializes in math/ science and test taking. I have experience working with many different types of students. On one end, I have worked with outstanding math and chemistry students from some of the best private schools in San Antonio helping them to sharpen their understanding and application of the material.
