As I graduated from college with my California State Teaching Credential,I was able to teach 2nd grade for the Los Angeles City School District for three years. During that time I sought to gain as much experience and expertise as possible to prepare me for teaching in a school for missionary children overseas. I studied Spanish intensively for a year in Mexico preparing me to work in Santiago, Chile where I taught first and second grade for almost 40 years. I am fluent in Spanish and have taught English as as second language.
I have enjoyed very much working with children and I know that every student has his own learning style and my teaching must be adapted to them. My comments on tutoring Earth Science : Earth Science was my favorite subject in high school. I am very interested in ecology and environmental studies.

For the greater part of my life I have been involved in various facets of education. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is what I do. I have found that I have a skill for transferring information to children without them at times even realizing it is happening. I am not a strict disciplinarian but never allowed my classroom to get out of hand even when it was filled with 40+ students. I respect children and their differences. From that attitude I have found that I generally was also respected by most of my students. Teaching is fun.
