My comments on tutoring Earth Science : Earth Science was my favorite subject in high school. I am very interested in ecology and environmental studies.

In my teaching, I make every effort to engage the attention of my students. Teaching is what I do. I have found that I have a skill for transferring information to children without them at times even realizing it is happening. I am not a strict disciplinarian but never allowed my classroom to get out of hand even when it was filled with 40+ students. I respect children and their differences. My style of teaching is to allow the student to learn by doing. This is supplemented with encouragement, guidance, and occasionally talking through why a specific answer is correct. There have been many times that I wish I had become a teacher but using the old saying: work always got in my way. Teachers, next to parents, are the most important person in a growing child's life.
